Frequently asked questions and answers

The number of contestants in each age group will depend on the contestants entering! It can range from 2 people up to 6.

The age division your daughter will be placed will be based on the age she is on pageant day.

A 50% refund will be provided should you be unable to attend on the day. However, If a medical certificate is provided (after the fact) a full refund will be given.

Your registration for the pageant will include admission for the contestant and one adult into pageant.  General admission tickets are $10 if purchased before the deadline and $15 at the door for adults. For non competing children aged between 3 and 12 entry will cost $5 and Children 3 and under are FREE.

You may take images of YOUR child only. Should you be caught taking pictures of another persons child (without parental constant) you may be asked to leave the venue. This is for the safety and wellbeing of all children present on the day.

Full payment needs to be received at the time of registration.

The first round will be the beauty / formal section and the contestant will have one minute. The second round will be Interview and she will have up to one minute on the stage. The third section is for theme wear and each contestant will be allocated up to 90 seconds.

We will supply the music for the formal section of the day however, each contestant must supply their own music for theme wear. Music must be submitted no later than 1 week prior to the pageant. The contestant is not required to have a routine on stage, but will need to pose on the “X” marks (will be explained at Pre-Pageant Class and on the day of the event). With that said, having a set routine can add ‘WOW’ factor and may assist in receiving higher scores for that section (theme)

For the second round, there will be a brief interview on stage. The emcee will ask the child her name, age and 1 question (The list of questions that may be asked is available for viewing on our website). Public speaking is a great way to build confidence in children.

No, winners will not have duties.

Simple rules to follow – Be polished, smile, have fun, be age appropriate and make good eye contact with the judges’ panel.

…and remember – practice makes perfect. If a contestant would like to use a coach we can provide a list of possible options.

An adult may accompany her on the stage (for ages 3 and under unless the contestant has a disability and requires assistance) Entrants eligible to have an assistant will not be marked down.

No, to protect the children’s privacy we will only use first names.

The judge panel will consist of 3 individuals whom are highly respected in their industries. They will also have no personal or professional connection with any of the contestants that are competing for scores.  Bios on each judge will be available in pageant program.

Children 9 and under are required to wear either a party dress, cupcake dress or southern style dress. Contestants 9 and over are required to wear a floor length formal gown / ball gown. Remember to wear a colour that suits you and not simply your favouritecolour.

In the interview section you may wear anything that shows your personality. in saying that our interview section is ‘Teal Talk” and we do require each contestant to wear a touch of teal.

Each contestant will be awarded with a Tiara and sash on the day along with a goodie bag. The size of the Tiara will depend on their overall placing on the day. Each age division will have an age queen and there are also 8 supreme titles up for grabs! Our charity supreme winner will receive a 12 inch crown and a photo shoot with Jodie Napolitano from SNAPolitano Images.

Yes.

Hair and makeup should be age appropriate. Find a style that suits you. We do not allow large hair pieces / hair falls.

No. We do not allow flippers. A child will not be marked down on points for not having missing teeth, etc.

Each contestant will receive points for their stage presence, confidence, smile, modelling ability, personality and attire. Overall we would like to see an entrant that is happy on stage. Where elegance is important in the beauty portion of the day it is equally important to show as much ‘sass and personality’ in the interview and theme portions as well.

After each round, an auditor will add the score sheets and then determine the average score for each girl. The girls with the highest scores in each age division will be that division winner.  The 1st and 2nd runners up will also be acknowledged.  The girl with the overall high score will be crowned Ultimate grand supreme on the day.
